Honoring Cory

The most concrete learning of all - being there as it unfolds

One can read the book, view the PowerPoint Presentation or watch the DVD Video and then do these things over and over again for an entire day…but any learning from these may not last or may need to be constantly reinforced.

No audio-visual, no new media nor technology could ever come close to first hand actual experience.

August 4, 2009, the Funeral Procession of the late Pres. Cory Aquino, Roxas Boulevard, Malate, Manila

The students who joined the school's contingent to the Funeral March of former President Cory Aquino had the most concrete learning of all…by being there where the event is unfolding. They did not only saw and heard everything, they felt the crowd pressing, the heat, the cold, the wind, and the rain. Tired, hungry and drenched by the heavy downpours…it will be hard for them to forget the moment. They may even tell the story to the next generation.
